Notes on Hyperbolic Partial Differential Equations

Over this past summer, I have been learning about the theory of hyperbolic partial differential equations. The following document are the notes I wrote down while doing so. These notes are strictly based on the lecture notes by professors Jonathan Luk and Gustav Holzegel, and on various sections from Evans’ Partial Differential Equations (2nd Ed.). Any errors in these documents are entirely my responsibility. Where possible, I have tried to make various computations and justifications as explicit as possible. In the fall, I plan on adding a section on applications of hyperbolic PDE theory to gas dynamics. Download Notes
